Tiedeman, Cormier to exchange vows

Rebecca Lynn Tiedeman of Jennings and Brandon James Cormier of Gueydan announce their plans to wed at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ted Tiedeman of Hawthorne, Fla., and Vickie Morvant Tiedeman of Jennings. She is the granddaughter of Lucy Cormier LeBlanc of Jennings, Ron LeBlanc of Hathaway, Janelle Landry Smith of Jennings, Anthony “Tony” Smith of Reynolds, Ga., and Kenneth Tiedeman of Orlando, Fla.

A 2008 graduate of Jennings High School, she will graduate from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in early childhood education. She is affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi, A+ PEL, Sigma Alpha Lambda and Phi Kappa Phi.

The prospective groom is the son of Roger Dale Cormier and Sharon Hebert Cormier of Gueydan. He is the grandson of Johnny Hebert of Gueydan, the late Maudrey Trahan, Eugene Cormier and Rose Touchet Cormier of Gueydan.

A 2006 graduate of Gueydan, he attended LSUE and is currently employed as a measurement technician for Hilcorp Energy Company.
