Men face more charges after second stolen ATV found

Daily News Staff Report

Two local men arrested for the theft of an ATV on Friday are facing additional charges today after an investigation revealed they were in possession of a second stolen vehicle.

Kyle Reed, 18, of Jennings, and Colby Manuel, 19, of Roanoke, were arrested Friday and charged with theft and possession of stolen goods, with bonds each set at $5,000. Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division Commander Chris Ivey said the young men were initially stopped on Wednesday, May 8, while riding four-wheelers on a roadway. The deputies documented the men’s names and the descriptions of the ATVs they were riding. The information on a particular ATV, a Honda Rancher, was later discovered to match a Honda Rancher that had been stolen from Farm Supply Road that same morning.
