Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony Set

A Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 at Emergency Services Memorial Park (located across from City Court). The ceremony will honor all officers, fire fighters and emergency personnel – both living and deceased. The service coincides with the National Law Enforcement Memorial Week, a time when officers from across the nation who have been killed in the line of duty are inducted into the National Memorial in Washington, D.C. The public is invited to attend. Also, any emergency personnel in attendance are asked to dress in uniform so they may be recognized at the ceremony.
