Regional Title Winners Set Sights on State

(From left) Jennings regional title winners Malik Williams, Imani Coleman, Addison Martinez and Isiah Brumfield hope to continue their winnings ways Saturday during the Outdoor State Track and Field Championships in Baton Rouge. Williams has the regional title in the high jump; Coleman holds the regional titles for both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, but will also compete in the 400-meter dash after a second place regional finish; Martinez hopes to claim a state pole vault title after taking second in state last season; and Brumfield holds the best mark in the region for the long jump as he competes at the championship meet. Also competing for state honors this Saturday from Jennings are Ivondre Williams in the mile run, and Bryan Wilridge, Dquan Ason, Naquan Senegal and Demarco Williams in the 1600-meter relay.
