Crawfish season coming to a close

As the crawfish season here comes to a close, LSU AgCenter Aquaculture Specialist Mark Shirley said that overall production this year much improved over the last two seasons due to sufficient rainfall.

“Production was up compared to last couple of years because of dry conditions going into the last two seasons,” Shirley said. “This past summer and fall we had lots of rainfall, which helped the survival of the brood stock.”
