Tennis league in full swing

The Jennings’ Ladies Tennis League is celebrating its fifth year in the City of Jennings. The league was founded five years ago by Brittney VanHook, Monika Dupuis and Kris Reed and started with approximately 30 players, but this year’s summer league has since grown to 70 ladies playing. It’s the largest turnout in the league’s history. Tennis courts throughout the city are filled every Monday for the league’s weekly matches.

The league is made up of teams ranging from a beginner 2.5 level to 4.0 level. Ladies playing tennis in the local league range from 19-75 years of age.  Most of the ladies are from Jennings but some are from Eunice, Kaplan and Lake Charles.
