Youth day camp to honor Burton LeBlanc

The Jennings Police Department (JPD) will be hosting a one-day youth camp in memory of late police officer Burton LeBlanc, who was killed in the line of duty in 2000.

The camp, which will take place on July 27 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.  at the Louisiana Oil and Gas Park in Jennings, is offered free of charge to all children ages 5-14 who live in the city. Activities will include face painting, fun jumps, a dunking booth, crafts and much more.  The children can be dropped off and picked up by parents and guardians and lunch and snacks will be provided at no cost.
