The Gulf Coast Hurricane Track Club began their season with dreams of making it to the Junior Olympics in North Carolina.  For 14 members, it became a reality. Under the direction of Coach Carlton Austin, the group made their way through six months of racing and two preliminary meets to secure a place at the Junior Olympics.

In individual events, Addie Martinez and Cami Martinez qualified in pole vaulting. Addison Martinez went on the take the winners platform with a seventh place finish at the Junior Olympics. Martinez will be competing at the collegiate level in the fall.
