Amplified phones to help hearing impaired

The Council on Aging (COA) will be hosting the Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (SLIC) to offer its amplified phones for the deaf campaign.

On Thursday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m., SLIC and the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf (LCD) will be providing amplified phones and silent call communicators for those who are hard-of-hearing and deaf individuals, or for those who cannot hear as well as they used to on the telephone, according to its press release.
