Family Thanks Community

Dear Editor,

On August 20, our family lost our precious Gracie, a Jack Russell Terrier. She came from Santa in the year 2005.

As the devastating situation was occurring, we were in shock and disbelief watching the firemen, police, and city employees work diligently to try and save our home. What would transpire in the next hours and days is unimaginable. Family, friends, schools, faculty, students, parents, churches, and even people we don’t know came to our aid in providing our family with immediate needs as gifts. There is no way to fully express our love and gratitude for the community’s supports.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Thank you again for your compassionate support.
