Fight between teens leads to gunfire, arrest

A verbal disagreement between two 17-year-old females led to gunfire Saturday at a party on North Market Street in Jennings.
No one was injured as a result of the shots fired, but the incident did lead to one arrest. D’airaka Varnisha Neal, 17, of Airport Road in Jennings was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, which is a felony offense that could result in 10 years in prison if convicted.  She was booked in to the parish jail on the charge.
