Reward offered in Roanoke whooping crane shooting

A whooping crane hit by a shotgun blast last week in Jeff Davis Parish is recovering at Louisiana State University after five hours of surgery on its left wing Saturday. Meanwhile, authorities with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Division are still looking for leads about the illegal shooting. LDWF’s Operation Game Thief program is offering up to a $1,000 reward for any information  that leads to an arrest in this case.
