Dogs score ‘victory’ with Lafayette High draw

Although the scoreboard will say 21-21, fans of the Jennings Bulldogs should view Thursday’s jamboree contest as a win for JHS, as anybody who saw the size and speed differentials between the 3A Dogs and 5A Mighty Lions would have bet Lafayette High would blow Jennings out of the water. The Dogs showed great heart and battled their way from a 21-13 sure defeat to break the hearts of the Lions’ faithful.  With the regular season now upon them, the Dogs host St. Martinville this Friday at Jerry Simmons Stadium, where coach Rusty Phelps and members of Maroon Nation can expect to see some great football this season.
