A Mass of Christian burial for Eulon Trahan Vincent, 94, of Jennings will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Father Susil Fernando officiating. Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, from 4-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass.

Eulon will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.   

Eulon was born in Sulphur on Jan. 20, 1923, to Sosthene Trahan and Nedia Racca Trahan. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Sept. 18, 2017.  Eulon was born in Sulphur but lived in Bayou Chene. She worked as a sales clerk for Weill’s Department Store. Eulon loved to cook and bake and enjoyed Cajun dancing. She was a past member of the WFW Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies Altar Society. She was one of the original members of Immaculate Conception Church. Eulon never met a stranger and she loved to visit with family and friends. She was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eulon is survived by her three sons, David W. Vincent of Jennings, Gene C. Vincent (Nita) of Baton Rouge and Keith Vincent (Watty) of Eureka Springs, Ark.; her two daughters, Kathy Vincent DiMari (Eric) of Baton Rouge and Lisa Vincent Doucet (Gerald) Roanoke; her 12 grandchildren, Paul, Kevin, Owen, Miriam, Emmet, Hannah, Corrie, Sharon, Charles, Michael, Amanda and Jeffrey; as well as 24 great-grandchildren.

Eulon is preceded in death by her parents, Sosthene and Nedia Racca Trahan; her beloved husband, Cleveland Vincent; her two sons, Steven Vincent and Norman J. Vincent; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Vincent. 

Carrying Eulon to her final resting place will be Paul Vincent, Brandon Vincent, Kevin Vincent, Jeffrey Doucet, Charles Vincent and Nicholas Presley.
