Volunteers hold school snack drive

A group of volunteers from a local church are doing their part to strengthen the community of Jennings by reaching out to the needs of the elementary schools.

Jannie and Milton Crochet of Bethel Church are currently leading a donation project to bring snacks to Jennings Elementary School and James Ward Elementary School.

“Our inspiration is to change Jennings and to work together to build and strengthen our community,” said Crochet. “When you ask people about Jennings, most of them only know about the negative, but we have much more positive to offer, and more people should know about that. There are people here who love each other no matter what the circumstances are. We want to give back to the community and inspire others to hop on board and do more, as well.”
