ELTON - The Coushatta Farmer’s Market, originally set for Saturday, April 7, has been been rescheduled due to a rainy forecast. The event will now be held Saturday, April 14, from 7 a.m. to noon at Koasati Plaza at the corner of Hwy. 190 and Pine Street.
With the return of the market also comes the Fifth Annual Coushatta Farmer’s Market Amateur Jambalaya Cook-Off.
Teams are to begin setting up at 6:30 a.m., with cooking beginning by 7:30 a.m. and complete jambalaya samples to be provided to judges by 11 a.m. The winners will be announced by the end of the farmer’s market.
