Everyone can see President Donald Trump’s rallies. In the final days of the campaign, he is jetting from swing state to swing state, drawing big crowds to outdoor airport events as he makes his closing argument for reelection.

Fall back safely

On Sunday at 2 a.m. daylight savings time ends and residents are reminded to “fall back,” or set their clocks back one hour.

JDP early voting totals higher than 2016

Early voting totals came in over 30 percent higher than the last presidential election.

JFD barbecue canceled

The Jennings Fireman’s Association barbecue set for Nov. 1st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. has been canceled. According to Safety Officer Shawn O’Quinn, the firemen have been hosting this barbecue for over 40 years and have only had to cancel twice. The association is asking for people to return their tickets to receive a full refund.

JDN seeks photos to honor vets

In observance of Veterans Day, Jennings Daily News encourages the public to share photos of any living veteran of the United States military. These photos will be published at no charge in the Nov. 8 weekend edition. All photos and information must be turned in by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. A senior night to remember

What a great night for this senior class. Even the drizzly weather and threat of lightning could not put a damper on the festivities. The players, cheerleaders, band and Jazzers, met their parents at midfield as they were gifted with balloons and other assorted treats. I always love seeing those proud faces. And what a night it was as the Bulldogs blew out the St. Louis Saints 64 to 28.
