School district earns ‘B’ from state

Jeff Davis’ overall letter grade for the 2016-2017 school year was an “A,” and it was ranked as the 15th best district in the state with a score of 100.6. The district anticipated an automatic drop in its letter grade because of the Louisiana Department of Education’s (LDE) new formula in how school and district performance scores are determined.
