With state restrictions at the Jeff Davis Consolidated Regional Jail Facility due to the pandemic, area law enforcement has had to become reactive and come up with new ways to deal with non-violent offenders who are being released right back out on the streets.
A recent study ranked Jeff Davis Parish as sixth in the state for the number of small businesses operating in the parish, and third for how small businesses return money to the local economy.
