Aaron Russell Fontenot

Funeral services for Mr. Aaron Russell Fontenot, 74, of Jennings will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jeffery Cook officiating.

Visitation for Mr. Fontenot will begin Monday, April 9, 2018 at 4 p.m. and will close at 9 9.m. It will resume Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Fontenot was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jennings. He loved farming, and he was a rice farmer for 47 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. One of his favorite things to do was cook and spend time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lila “DeeDee” Turner Fontenot; one son, Jody (Kristian) Fontenot of Hathaway; one daughter, Mandy (James) Estes of Jennings; one sister, Shirley (Larry) Moore of Jennings; one brother, Glen Fontenot of Breaux Bridge and five grandchildren, Kade Fontenot, Kolby Estes, Jill Fontenot, Brody Estes and Emily Estes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Amy Broussard Fontenot and his daughter, Tamara Jill Fontenot.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Compton, Dwayne Compton, Chris Lopez, Kirk Lopez, Burt Tietje, and Tim Landry. Honorary Pallbearers are Kade Fontenot and Kolby Estes.
