Lan D. Baumann, 66, of Georgetown, Texas, went home to her Lord on Saturday Nov. 3, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Massey Funeral Home in Yorktown, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Nordheim Cemetery.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1952, in Midland, Texas, to Luke Henry and Earline Durio. She was as close to heaven as one could be on earth with her feet dangling in the water, off the back of a boat in the bayous of South Louisiana. She delighted in watching the frogs, crawfish, ducks and geese while enjoying a cup of strong Louisiana chicory coffee. (Life was too short to drink bad coffee!) She thoroughly enjoyed crappie fishing in any lake, anywhere and always came back with her limit.

Lan is survived by her husband, Wilfred, of Georgetown, Texas; brother Luke (Kaye) Durio of Nordheim, Texas; and brother Schirmer (Phyllis) Durio of Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke Henry Sr. and Earline Durio; and her sister, Dharma Jones.

Pallbearers are Nick Blady, Guy Broussard, Caleb Durio, Cody Durio, Garrett Durio and Jason Kline.

Honorary pallbearers are Annie Kline and Sadie Thibodeaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider your favorite local worthy cause in the Lake Arthur area, the Nordheim Education Foundation or the charity of your choice.
