Lloyd ‘Leon’ Bonin

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lloyd “Leon” Bonin announces his passing from life on June 26, 2018. A native of Lake Arthur, he resided in Spring, Texas. Leon was born on Dec. 4, 1937, to Lloyd and Eva Janise Bonin. A 1956 graduate of Lake Arthur High School and well-known in the basketball arena, he was inducted into the Lake Arthur High School Hall of Fame. A veteran, Leon served in the Air Force and played basketball during that time for two years. Leon later retired from Texaco Oil Company where he held the title of Junior Vice President of Finance. Leon loved to make others laugh. He was also an avid card player and prankster. Those left to cherish Leon’s memory include his wife; four sons and four daughters-in-law; and three brothers, Clayton Burbank Bonin, Leonard Dwayne Bonin and Fabus Paul Bonin; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Eva Bonin; sister, Edna Joyce Bonin Little; and brother, Floyd Joseph Bonin.
