LAKE ARTHUR - The family and friends of Nora Belle Kirkpatrick are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on June 25, 2018, at the age of 91. Funeral services to honor Nora’s life will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur today, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., with Father Jay Alexius officiating. Visitation was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Lake Arthur on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of her funeral service today, Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. A Rosary was recited on Tuesday, June 26, at 6 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Nora was born on Jan. 27, 1927, to John and Alice Duhon Teal. Nora was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, shopping, reading and traveling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nora was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Nora is survived by her son, Patrick Shayne Teal (Laurie) of Lake Arthur; two daughters, Deborah Teal of Lake Arthur and Alvinette Teal of Gueydan; her seven grandchildren, Katelyn Teal, Avery Teal, Stanley Heinen, Dustin Heinen, Dylan Heinen, Ciara Heinen and Harlie Heinen; and her nieces, Darrlyn and Johnette Cuvillier. Nora was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Alvin Teal; and second husband, William Kirkpatrick. Carrying Nora to her final resting place in St. Anthony cemetery will be Stanley Heinen, Dylan Heinen, Matthew Savoy, Mitchell Istre, Dave Heinen and William Heinen.
