Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Annie Mae Gloston-Levy, 94, of Roanoke will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in St. James Baptist Church, located at 523 St. James St. in Roanoke, with Pastor Rev. Willie Maynard, Jr., officiating.

Visiting in the church will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of religious services.

Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings.

Sis. Levy passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Elton on April 19, 1927, to the late Ed Gloston and Maria Hall-Gloston. She united in holy matrimony to Lloyd Levy and moved to Ronoake. Sis. Levy was a faithful member of St. James Baptist Church, currently pastored by Rev. Willie Maynard, Jr.

Sis. Levy is survived by her children, Helen Levy, Marie Rubin, Frank (Janet) Levy and Brenda Huston, all of Roanoke, and Sandra (Don) Hall of Jennings; daughter-in-law, Melanie Levy; grandchildren, Warner Levy, Gabriel Levy, Arthur Hall, Milton Hall, Dominque Hall, Clifton Rubin, Mazerene Rubin, Denitra Constantine, Brandrick Levy, Shaneka Lamb, Ronald Robinson and Jamila Lamb; 27 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Levy, Sr; her parents Ed and Maria Gloston; two sons, Lloyd Levy Jr. and Willie Floyd Levy; one daughter, Shirley Marie Gloston; three sisters, Irene Perkins and Ella Mae Cormier.
