A Mass of Christian burial for Beatrice Elaine Stockton, 82, of Jennings will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Father Bill Miller officiating.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, from 2:30-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, Feb. 11, from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass.

Beatrice will be laid to rest in Lacassine Cemetery.

Beatrice was born in Jennings on Feb. 24, 1936, to Kenny Ardoin and Hilda LeJeune Ardoin and she was called to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 8, 2019. Beatrice was a homemaker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Beatrice loved fishing, camping, cooking and baking for all of her family. She never met a stranger and she loved to visit with family and friends. Beatrice was a kind and loving person she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beatrice is survived by two sons, Michael Moore of Jennings and Ricky Cormier of Jennings; one daughter, Carla Cormier Chaisson (Carl) of Welsh; one stepdaughter, Debra Williams of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Elroy Ardoin of Moss Bluff; one sister, Anna Ardoin Breaux of Maurice; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Hilda Ardoin; her husband, Edwin Roy Stockton; her son, Timothy Moore; her two sisters, Jane Ardoin Fusilier and Geneva Ardoin Fusilier; and one brother, Kenneth Ardoin.

Carrying Beatrice to her final resting place in Lacassine Cemetery will be Brandon Chaisson, Alton Ardoin, Greg Matte, Matthew Moore, Micky Moore and Wyatt Whittington.
