LAKE ARTHUR - It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Betty Jean Delcambre Constance announces her passing from this life on Dec. 9, 2019, at the age of 72.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur today, Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, at 1 p.m., with Father Jay Alexuis officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home today, Thursday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. until the time of her service at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery.

Betty was born in Jennings to Clarence Delcambre and Dorothy Mae Myers Delcambre on May 10, 1947. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing her family. Betty loved to cook and be outdoors. Most of all, she loved the time she was able to spend with her family and the memories they made. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pierre Constance, Sr. of Holmwood; her two sons, Kenneth P. (Jo Ann) Constance, Jr. of Grand Lake and Jimmy Dale (Katrina) Constance of Holmwood; her daughter, Charlene (Darwin) Guillott of Iowa; her seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Delcambre; and her sister, Dorothy Hay.

Those chosen to honor Betty as her pallbearers will be Kenneth Constance, Jr., Jimmy Constance, Nathan Constance, Christopher Guillott, Brodie Trahan and Cliff Peloquin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Weston Trahan, Waylon Trahan, Darwin Guillott and Zayden Peloquin.
