A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for Bradford Lane “Brad” Thibodaux, 66, of Roanoke today, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at 3 p.m., with Father Keith Pellerin officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home beginning today, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, from 9 a.m. until the time of his funeral mass, with a rosary recited at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Brad was born in Jennings Thursday, Dec. 10, 1953, to Hanson Thibodeaux and Calponia Breaux Thibodeaux. He was called from this earthly life on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020.

Brad was a retired farmer, a job he loved. He was also on the Drainage Board in Jeff Davis Parish and was a member of Thornwell Warehouse Association and a volunteer member of the Bayou Chene Fire Department. He loved being outdoors. He was an avid deer and duck hunter. Brad also enjoyed cooking and boiling crawfish and shrimp.

Brad’s greatest joy came from the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a kind and loving man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brad is survived by beloved wife, Gloria C. Thibodeaux of Roanoke; his five sons, Lance Thibodeaux of Jennings, Todd Darbonne (Anaice) of Lake Arthur, Mark Broussard (Erin) of Lake Arthur, Dustin Broussard (Mandy) of Jennings and Brent Broussard of Alexandria; his daughter, Brandie Thibodeaux of Welsh; his two sisters, Kathyrn Jurls of Wake Forest, N.C., and Pamela Darbonne (Craig) of Jennings; as well as his 21 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Hanson and Cal Breaux Thibodeaux; and his sister, Sophie Lynn Thibodeaux.

Those chosen to honor Brad as his pallbearers will be Randy Thibodeaux, Dale Thibodeaux, Eric Thibodeaux, Ross Thibodeaux, Karlon Thibodeaux and Robert Bujol.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tylon Thibodeaux, Dylan Benoit and Darren Benoit.
