OBITUARY

Funeral services for Mr. Darrin Wade “Butterworth” Savoie, 52, will be held at noon Friday, April 12, 2019, in Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings, with Pastor Clifton LeJeune officiating.

Funeral home visitation will be held from 8 a.m. Friday until time of services.

Burial will be in Istre Cemetery.

Mr. Savoie died at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2019, in Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.

He was a lifelong resident of Sulphur and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Jesus Worship Center. He loved to pray and tell people about Jesus. He also loved to fish, hunt, dance, sing and spend time with his family.

Survivors include his son, Kade Savoie of West Monroe; daughter, Melissa (Randy “Boone”) Pierce of Baton Rouge; his mother, Wanda Stutes (Roland) Courville of Jennings; one sister, Tina Marie Savoie of Jennings; three brothers, David Paul Savoie of Jennings, Timothy Wayne (Dawn) Savoie of Iowa and Jay Allen (Teresa) Savoie of Jennings; grandchildren, Elijah Mark Savoie, Lillian Grace Savoie, Adelynn Faith Savoie, Bryanne, Brody, Jolee and Adalyn Pierce; and nieces and nephews, Aaron, Jody Paul, Blake, Tashia, Joey, Sonja, Derek, Lucas, Victoria, Matthew, Joshua, Nickolas, Cody, Krista, Robert, Cherokee and Tess.

He was preceded in death by his father, Angelas Joseph Savoie.
