A Mass of Christian burial for Lelia LeBlanc Hill, 96, of Shreveport will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at 11 a.m., with Father Charles McMillin officiating.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, from 4-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass.

Lelia will be laid to rest in Bertrand Cemetery.

Lelia was born in Hathaway on July 18, 1923, to Adam LeBlanc and Elena Gary LeBlanc. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Jan. 27, 2020.

Lelia was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother whose greatest pleasure came from her love for her family. She loved to read her Bible and cook. Her kind, caring actions and words taught all who knew her the definitions of love and family. Lelia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lelia is survived by six sons, Gareth Hill (Tricia) of Elton, Randall Hill (Beneth) of Welsh, Kenneth Hill (Phyllis) of Elton, Michael Hill of Elton, Ralph Stephen Hill of Shreveport and Douglas Hill (Linda) of Shreveport; one daughter, Nelda Hill Walsh of Shreveport; 21 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Arlene Hill of Clinton, Miss.

Lelia now rejoices in Heaven with her parents, Adam and Elena LeBlanc; her husband, James Allen Hill; her brother, Elzy LeBlanc; her sister, Evelia LeBleu; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Effie Hill.

Carrying Lelia to her final resting place in Bertrand Cemetery will be Chad Hill, Ryan Hill, Clay Hill, Jeremy Hill, Matthew Hill, Troy Hill, Brent Hill, Greg Hill, Jason Walsh, Eric Walsh and Courtland Hill.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Angel School, 10450 Ellerbe Rd., Shreveport, LA 71106 (Lelia/ Steve Hill).
