LAKE ARTHUR - Mr. Lloyd Ryder, Jr., 72, of Lake Arthur passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Friends and family will gather at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur today, Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, from 1-4 p.m. Following this visitation, they will gather at St. Anthony Cemetery to lay Mr. Ryder to rest. Services and burial are under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Ryder was born in Lake Arthur on July 12, 1946, to Lloyd and Lorina O’Blanc Ryder, who preceded him in death. He was a 1965 graduate of Lake Arthur High School. He enjoyed playing music and in his younger years was a member of several bands including Nomads, Soul Trippers among others. He was a former member of the Lake Arthur Fire Department and Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson, Robbie Benoit.

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Darlene Leger; daughter, Toni LeJeune; sister, Lois Spell and brother, Jerry Ryder; one grandchild, Krystal Benoit; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
