Rita Ann Boutte-Mouton

Funeral services for Mrs. Rita Ann Boutte-Mouton, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, in Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel, with Minister Elaine Donaldson of Detroit, Mich., officiating.

Visitation will be held in the chapel from 11 a.m. until time of funeral.

Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.

Mrs. Mouton was born in Lafayette on Feb. 28, 1950, to Mary Steward and Preston Boutte.

She was a native of Jennings and a resident of Newhall, Calif. She was married to William Rayford Mouton, Sr., and had two children. Mrs. Mouton retired as an assistant manager with Home Depot after 25 years of service.

Mrs. Mouton is survived by her husband, William Rayford Mouton, Sr., of Newhall, Calif.; her daughter, Shannon K. Mouton of Van Nuys, Calif.; her son, William Rayford (Nancy) Mouton, Jr., of Studio City, Calif.; her brother, Michael Boutte; her sister, Bertha Mae Perkins; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mouton was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Mary Boutte; and her brothers, R.D. Boutte, Earl Boutte, Berchman Boutte, Joseph Boutte and Sylvia Boutte.
