Thelma, our beloved and beautiful mother, was called from her earthly life by her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2019.

She was born in Hathaway on Oct. 28, 1931, to Clarence and Donatile Benoit Crochet. Thelma worked as a waitress until her retirement, a job she loved. Thelma was a very hard working, giving woman who loved her family and all of her grandchildren dearly. She loved to dance to French music with her beloved husband and enjoyed life to the fullest. Thelma will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Thelma is survived by her two sons, Darryl James (Saye) Broussard of Erath and Wayland Broussard (Melinda) of Barbers Hill, Texas; her daughter, Brenetta Daniels (Carley) of Maurice; her two brothers, Sherman Crochet (Lorena) of Roanoke and Herman Crochet (Betty) of Lake Charles; her two sisters, Jean Boyter of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Helen Saltzman of Ragley; her seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Thelma now rejoices in heaven with her parents, Clarence and Donatile Benoit Crochet; her beloved husbands, Daniel Broussard, Leo Hebert and Ellis Thomas; her brother, Robert Crochet; one grandchild, Sabra Broussard; and one great-grandchild, Payton Clements.

Carrying Thelma to her final resting place will be Darryl Broussard, Jason Broussard, Justin Broussard, Travis Gallet, Cody Kidder and Shannon Crochet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Crochet, Herman Crochet, Robbie Boyter, Rodrick Saltzman, Jeaux Crochet and Jennifer Authement.

Our special heartfelt thanks to Uncle Sherman and Aunt Lorena Crochet for all your love, support and caring for our mother in her time of need.
