Pearl Irene Weidner Howard, a longtime resident of Jennings, passed away surrounded by her family Tuesday morning, July 31, 2018, at the age of 91 at her daughter’s residence in Winchester, Ken.

A memorial will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, from 10 a.m. until noon.

Born in 1926 in Pennsylvania, Pearl moved around until she and her husband, Beecher, settled in Jennings in 1950 to raise their four children: Laurie Lanier, husband David of Winchester, Ken.; John Howard, wife Sandy of Monroe; Bobbie Bell-Oates, husband Danny of Lake Charles; and Paul Howard of Lake Arthur. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great great-grand-children.

Pearl, who was a loving and giving mother, enjoyed socializing, loved her quilting and sewing and cooking for her family and friends. She had a wonderful smile that would light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Beecher D. Howard.
