It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Renny Kirk Crochet announces his passing from this life on March 15, 2018 at the age of 62.

Funeral services honoring Renny’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 2 p.m.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning on Monday, March 19, from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, March 20, from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral service.

Burial will follow in Miller French Cemetery.

Renny was born to George Crochet and Sharon Clay on Aug. 10, 1955. He loved the outdoors, especially when he was hunting, or fishing and his dog, Rascal held a special place in his heart. Renny’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Renny never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Renny is survived by his mother, Sharon Clay of Gott’s Cove; his son, Anthony Crochet (Ashley) of Sulphur; his three grandchildren, Corey Crochet, Hunter Crochet, Jaxen Crochet; his two brothers, Kyle Crochet (Cheryl) of Gott’s Cove and Darrin Clay (Toni) of Evangeline; his four nephews, Curtis Crochet (Rachel), Kaleb Crochet, Andy Clay and Cole Clay; his two nieces, Brooklyn and Callee Clay; his uncle, Grady Pelissier (Kathleen) of Gott’s Cove; and his aunt, Nellrene (Charles) Higginbotham.

Renny was preceded in death by his father, George Crochet.
