Ricky Joe Waltrip

Funeral Services for Ricky Joe Waltrip, 60, of Jennings will be held in Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Joey Dugas officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, from noon until 9 p.m., and will resume on Monday, June 25, from 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral services. Ricky will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Ricky was born in Baytown, Texas, on July 21, 1957, to Robert Waltrip and Barbara Hickey Beal. He was called to his Heavenly Father on June 21, 2018. Ricky was lead production operator for Island Operators for 20 years. He loved to hunt and fish. Ricky enjoyed a good card game. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ricky is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Waltrip (Cora Beth) of Lake Charles and James Eric Waltrip (Jamie) of Lafayette; one brother, Bobby Waltrip of Thailand; and his special grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler, Raeah and Jole'. Ricky was was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Randy Waltrip; and his sister, Missy Waltrip. Carrying Ricky to his final resting place will be Justin Waltrip, Bobby Waltrip, E.N.
