KINDER - The family and friends of Sharon Ann McDermott Rasberry are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on Nov. 8, 2018, at the age of 64.

A Memorial Service honoring Sharon’s life will be held at First United Pentecostal Church in Eunice onTuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at 6 p.m., with Hunter LaCombe officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 4 p.m. until the time of her memorial service.

Sharon’s family is honoring her wishes of cremation.

Sharon was born on Dec. 7, 1953, to John McDermott and Ruth Clickner McDermott. Sharon was a dietitian for Kinder Hospital. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. Sharon loved art and she expressed herself thru her art. She was very passionate about drawing, sketching and coloring, especially with her grandchildren. Sharon also loved sharing her art with everyone. She was a kind and loving person, who was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Ruth McDermott of Eunice; her three sons, David Allen Rasberry (Melissa) of Iota, Russell Wayne Rasberry (Adeline) of Iota and Carl James Daigle of KinderA; her two daughters, Tanya Ann McDermott of Kinder and Chasity Dawn McDermott of Millerville; her 10 grandchildren, Heather, Sharon, Jessica, Naomi, Noah, Deana, Breanna, Alayna, Michael and Prestley; her three great-grandchildren, Hanz, Olivia and Adrian; her two brothers, Michael McDermott of Meridian, Ala., and Peter McDermott of Hawley, Penn.; and her two sisters, Lynda McDermott of Punta Gorda, Fla., and JoAnn LaNeve of Kinnelon, N.J.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, John McDermott; and her brother, Johnny McDermott.
