I can’t imagine looking in a mirror and wondering where my dark brown eyes came from or finding a new mole on my arm and not knowing if I have a predisposition to skin cancer.
Sadly, that was the reality for many adults throughout the state who were adopted as babies, issued new birth certificates and kept from every puzzle piece that created the picture of their past.
Does the right to privacy of birth parents really outweigh the right of people to learn possible vital information about themselves? I don’t think so.
