WELSH - Registration is now open for a hunter safety course in December in Welsh.
Welsh Police Department will host the 13th annual Hunter Safety Education Program from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 and from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14.
“The program stresses firearm safety, hunter ethics and conservation and consists of 10 hours of classroom instruction, a written final exam and participation in a field exercise,” says Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet.
The course is free of charge and registrants must be 10 years of age or older to sign up.
