According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, obesity prevalence in the United States was 20.7 percent among children between the ages of six and 11 and 22.2 percent among 12- to 19-yearolds from 2017 to 2020. That’s a significant concern for parents, even during a time of year when candy and other sugary foods take center stage.
