On Sunday afternoon on June 26, several newly-elected officers of the Msgr. Joseph Peeters Assembly 332 of the Knights of Columbus traveled to St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Lake Charles for the installation by District Master Kell Luke and District Marshall and new Faithful Navigator of the Assembly Mark Fanguy.

During the American Legion Department of Louisiana Convention (state-level meeting) held in Alexandria from June 2-5, James W. “Jimmy” Richert Jr. (second from right) from James O. Hall 19 of the American Legion in Jennings was presented the M. C. “Mike” Gehr Blue Cap Award as the outstanding Legionnaire in the State of Louisiana among Legion members who have never served in an elective office above post level.
During the June meeting of Knights of Columbus Council 2012 from Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) Parish in Jennings, Grand Knight Toni Benoit presented the Council’s Family of the Month Award for May 2022 to the family of Charles and Dee Dee Savoy.
