A candlelight ceremony was held at Langley Cemetery on Oct. 30 to honor friends, relatives and ancestors who are buried there

The Rotary Club of Welsh met on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Welsh Community Center. Honored guests were (from left) Brenda Dewolf, Georgianna LeJeune and Mary Lee Coles.

Acadia Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Regent and Veterans Chairman Charlene Lacombe held their annual program at Mike’s Seafood and Steakhouse in Jennings on Nov 9. Dwayne Guidry, the director of the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery was the guest speaker. Chaplain Denise Arnard gave the blessing for the meal. After the meal, the group toured the cemetery.
