During the April meeting of Knights of Columbus (KC) Council 2012 from our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) Parish in Jennings, Grand Knight Frank Angelle recognized the family of Bill and Betty Ann Caraway as the Council’s Family of the Month for March.

Local student-teacher selected for grant

Local student-teacher selected for grant

The Alpha Kappa Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society of Women Teachers presented the Maud Anderson Grant to Sydnee Brown. Maud Anderson was one of the founding members of Alpha Kappa Chapter in Jeff Davis Parish and its first president. Brown is currently student teaching first grade at Jennings Elementary School under the guidance of Alison Oustalet. She will graduate from McNeese State University this spring with a degree in elementary education. Lucinda Stark, President, presented the grant.
