Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Blanchard Trahan, 83, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, in Miguez Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Funeral home visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday and will continue from 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery.

Mrs. Trahan passed away at 1:13 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Camelot Brookside Nursing Home peacefully surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Trahan was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She loved gardening, flowers, cutting her grass, doing word search puzzles and she absolutely loved and adored her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Jimmie) Monceaux and Angie (Patrick) Ardoin, both of Jennings; three sons, Steven (Wendy) Trahan of New Iberia, Brian (Debbie Daigle) Trahan and Gregory (Lisa) Trahan of Jennings; two sisters, Vivian Trahan and Ruth (Hilliard) Duhon of Jennings; one brother, Wallace Blanchard of Egan; 20 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ola Fontenot Blanchard; her husband Claude Trahan, Jr.; one daughter, Claudia Reed; one son, Barry Trahan; and one sister Carrie LeJeune.
