Adley Benoit LeDoux

Adley Benoit LeDoux was born Nov. 14, 1930. Almost 92 years later, on July 9, 2022, she passed from this life into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.

Her service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Jennings Church of Christ, located at 1812 N. Cutting Ave. in Jennings.

Visitation will be held from 8-10:30 am. Then, per her request, we will begin celebrating her life with congregational singing of her favorite hymns. Aaron Trahan will deliver a timely message from God’s Word.

She married the very colorful and good-humored love of her life, Jake B. LeDoux, on Nov. 6, 1951. He left not long after to serve as a medic in the Korean War. When he returned home, they continued their life journey together, having two daughters along the way, Karen Ann and Kayla Lynn. In the beginning of their married life, they were poor as the proverbial church mice, but our momma had a talent for stretching every dollar and could make a plastic tie baggie last longer than anyone around. She always kept a spotless home and always had something delicious cooking on the stove with a trove of sweets and desserts on hand just in case someone might drop by. Our home was filled with lots of company, singing, great food and loads of laughter.

Our momma loved her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, her brothers and sisters in Christ and any random person her husband brought home on any given day. We feel certain that each one loved her just as much as she did them. Dementia may have claimed her mind for a couple of years, but her love for the Lord and her family and friends will never fade in any of our minds.

She was a member of Christian Family Fellowship Church of Christ and attended every Sunday for as long as she physically could. We thank Paul and Debbie Dupuis for making sure that happened, as well as others in her church family for watching over our sweet momma.

We certainly would not want to forget to say thank you to the staff at the Jeff Davis Living Center for their caring and service to Mom. They always went above and beyond for her and we will always be grateful to them. We also appreciate the nurses from Lamm Family Care Hospice for making her declining days and passing easier, especially Ashley and Kristan. Both groups were such a blessing to our family and we could never thank them enough for all they did for our momma.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Touchet and Kayla Gary, as well as her grandchildren, Amber Francois, Marcie Cormier, Nikki Trahan and Jordon Hine; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Devyn, Jaxson, Kiran, Rylee, Max, Parker, Taylor, Charlie and Kyler and her son-in-law, Russell Hine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Liezie and Euphemie Benoit; her husband, Jake B. LeDoux; her sons-in-law, Frank Touchet and Warren Gary; her brothers, Joseph, Edway, Rufus, Arthur and Dudley Benoit and her sisters, Nita Benoit, Lydia Istre, Amy McMillin and Mable Istre.

Pallbearers will be Jaxson Trahan, Max Francois, Jordon Hine, D.J. Trahan, Jeff Cormier and Paul Dupuis.

While we know we will miss our sweet momma and Nana, we are thrilled to know she is now finally Home.
