Andrew Fontenot

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Andrew Fontenot, 79, who died at 4:31 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, in Evangeline.

The family requests visiting hours be held Thursday from 4-10 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Iota.

In keeping with Andrew’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shawn Reed Fontenot of Evangeline; two daughters, Lolita Wittge of

Jennings and Libby Ridenour of Muskogee, Okla.; two sons, Jamie Fontenot of Welsh and Scott Fontenot of Evangeline; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Yvonne Murray, Jessie Romero, Debbie Fontenot and Thelma Cormier; and two brothers, Ronald Fontenot and Anderson Fontenot, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson, Sr., and Allia Demarest Fontenot; two sisters, Louise Trahan and Ethel Rabey; and two brothers, Lawrence and Jerry Fontenot.
