A Mass of Christian burial for Beulah Cormier Benoit, 91, of Mermentau Cove will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 at 2 p.m.

A gathering of family and friendswillbeheldatMatthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a rosary recited at 11 a.m.

Burial will immediately follow in Istre Cemetery.

Beulah was born in Lacassine on Jan. 13, 1932, to Verly Cormier and Belzire Weber Cormier. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 13, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.

Beulah was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother whose greatest pleasure came from her love for her family. She loved doing puzzles, cooking, shopping, sewing, reading, going to the casino and especially family get-togethers.

Beulah leaves behind her memories to her beloved children, Ruston Benoit of Carlyss, Hulin Benoit (Josie) of Morse, Jean Maynard (Danny) of Morse, Judy Guidry (Bennett II) of Morse and Diranda Manuel (Doug) of Morse; her son-in-law, Patrick Miller of Jennings; her brother, John Eddie Cormier of Lake Charles; her 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her three step great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Verly and Belzire Cormier; her beloved husband, Antoine JD Benoit; her daughter, Peggy Miller; her siblings, Bella Landry, Ella Begnaud, Clara Daigle, Clyde Cormier and Joyce Bourque and her granddaughter, Stephanie B. Trahan.

Those chosen to honor Beulah as her pallbearers will be Cheney Benoit, Daniel Maynard II, Timothy Maynard, Bennett Guidry III, Matthew Maynard and Chase Schexnayder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Thibodeaux, Mason Thibodeaux, Jeremiah Miller and Taylor Miller.

The family of Beulah would like to send a very special thank you to Lamm Hospice and Pelican Pointe Nursing Home for all of your wonderful care and compassion for our mother while she was in your care.
