Carol Ann LaFosse, 86, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023.

Services honoring Carol’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, with a rosary recited at 11 a.m.

Burial will be held in Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Carol was born in Wausau, Wis., on Dec. 23, 1936, the daughter of Carlton and Frances Olson. Carol married the love of her life, James Ray LaFosse, and they raised five children together.

She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles. Carol loved spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren. Above all, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, James Ray LaFosse of Jennings; her two sons, James R. LaFosse, Jr. (Marie) of El Paso, Texas, and Paul LaFosse of Jennings; her three daughters, Linda Howard of Lake Arthur, Cindy Perez of Lake Arthur and Therese LaFosse of Jennings; her brother, Carlton Olson of Wausau, Wis.; her 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Frances Olson and her sister, Lois Wetterneck.
