Carolyn was born March 3, 1958, in Jennings to parents Eva Dale Hebert and Carroll Edward Spencer, Sr.

She spent her early years in the greater New Orleans area, returning to Jennings in the late 1970s after marrying her husband of 45 years and best friend, Lee Frank Boulet, in 1976.

Carolyn worked hard her entire life to better herself and others, from achieving her GED to getting her bachelor’s degree in early childhood development and education. She dedicated 25-plus years to the Jeff Davis Head Start program.

She was a lifelong member of Jesus Worship Center and her greatest joy was being involved in children’s ministry. Carolyn loved crafts and made baby quilts for all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and every baby born into her church family. Her love of children was truly shown by the raising of over 30 foster children, of which 11 were a permanent part of her life.
