Celebration of Life services for Damien Joseph Williams, 42, will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, in the church chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, located at 819 N. State St. in Jennings, with Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr., officiating.

Visitation will be held in the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of celebration services. Burial will be in Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.

Damien passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 1, 2023, at Ochsner American Legion Hospital in Jennings.

Damien was born July 17, 1980, in Jennings to Ralph Williams and Connie Simeon. Damien was baptized at an early age and was a member of Union Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. Gerald W. Perkins, Sr.

Damien had a love and passion for the game of basketball and coached several little league basketball teams, including Little Dribblers and AAU Basketball League. He was also looking forward to starting his new journey as the coach of the Junior NBA League with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Damien was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Williams; his brother, Ralph Robinson; his maternal grandparents, Willie and Eula Simeon and his paternal grandmother, Leager Tyler.

Damien leaves to cherish his love and memories, his love of 13 years, Ericka Guthrie of Jennings; his mother, Connie Simeon of Jennings; one daughter, Dayonne Williams (Hykeem) of Jennings; three brothers, Keith Robinson (Winniefred) of Shreveport and Loney Simon and Jonathan Simeon, both of Jennings; four sisters, Jennifer Simeon, Jacqueline Alfred (Randal) and Danielle Paddio all of Jennings, and Crystal Gail Simon of Alexandria and four grandchildren, Averie Carter, Lamiya Williams, Ar’mon Williams and Kaiser Kohen Joseph Richard of Jennings. He also leaves a host of close relatives and friends.
