Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, for Darryl Ray Dossier, 87, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eric Sonnier officiating.

Visiting hours will be observed Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Dosier, a native of Lake Charles and longtime resident of Jennings, passed away peacefully, surround by his family on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022 in his residence.

Mr. Dosier was a 1954 graduate of Jennings High School, 1958 graduate of McNeese State University, 1959 Officers Candidate School in Fort Benning, Ga., and Command and General Staff School, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1969.

He proudly served with the LA National Guard for over 25 years, retiring with the rank of Major.

Mr. Dosier is survived by his wife, Geraldine Cormier Dosier; one sister, Carolyn Mitchell and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sampson Arnold Dosier and Marie Mathilda Whiddon Dosier and one brother, Larry W. Dosier.

Mrs. Dosier would like to thank Terri and Stacy with Anchor of Hope Special care agency, also Mary Cormier and Skylar Stewart, along with many friends and neighbors.
